Mbali Nwoko is the CEO of Green Terrace, a Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Level 1 agribusiness focussing on primary crop vegetable farming. At the same time, she also holds the position of Chief Executive Farmer, being responsible for the overall running of the farm.
Green Terrace has 14 hectares of land in Boksburg. Of that, 8 hectares are utilised to grow food. The land produces a variety of crops such as spinach, baby marrow, green beans, and green peppers. These are then supplied to leading retailers, food processors and fresh produce markets.
While Green Terrace blooms, Mbali’s main goal is to purchase her own piece of land where she will be able to empower and employ a multitude of workers. She envisions a smarter and more efficient way of farming.
